At all our institutions, through Social Responsibility Initiatives (SRI) is taking responsibility for one’s own actions. It is a promise everyone should make for the society while working for the social, cultural and, ecological causes. These responsibilities are ethically binding and propose that each person acts in such a way that minimizes the adverse effect to those immediately around them. SNS-SRI believes that something more than simply imparting of knowledge and skills to the students. As an active agent of social change, SNS takes on voluntary actions in the creation of a culture of social responsibility in society through a myriad of activities that address both our own competitive interests & welfare of the society. Some of the activities are the benchmark of SNS SRI such as SANTA 365, Neighborhood school program, A smart kid program, Performance Evaluation Test, Talent Hunt & Talent Competition for identifying and recognizing the young talents from all over Tamil Nadu.

  • The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized Alumni Guest lecture on 01-02-2020 in the topic “Industrial Gear Design” for the third year students. Our esteemed Alumini Mr.V.Raghunathan, Senior Engineer – Gear Design Department, M/s.Shanthi Gears, Coimbatore addressed the students on Industrial Gear Design. He shared his expertise in the field of design and work nature in Industries. With various real time examples, he discussed importance of Design Data Books in selection of various design parameters. Students were more interactive during the session.
  • The Department of Mechanical Engineering, SNSCE organized an Alumni Guest lecture on "Project Based Learning" for the third year students on 15.02.2020. Our esteemed Alumni Mr.V.S.Nikhilesh , Product Engineer – QTPI Robotics, Hyderabad addressed the students about the project based learning which includes pattern recognition by decomposing a problem, identifying the variables involved using data representation, creating algorithms and a generic solution which will help students raise their thinking and creative capabilities. The Session was highly interactive
  • The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized Alumni Guest lecture on 11-02-2020 for the final year students. Our esteemed Alumni Mr.S.Maheshkannan, Material Assistance Engineer, Dongil Industry Co.Ltd, UAE addressed the students on “Opportunities for NDT in UAE”. He shared his career experiences in various industries. He addressed on Nondestructive testing (NDT) careers influence a wide array of industries, such as aerospace, manufacturing, oil and gas and renewable energy. These fields especially require NDT methods to operate on a day-to-day basis, whether it be for safety or financial reasons. There is a drastic need for skilled NDT professionalsexpertise in the field of design and work nature in foreign Industries. Students were more interactive during the session.
  • The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized Alumni Guest lecture on 24-02-2020 in the topic “Opportunities in Commercial vehicle design” for the third year students. Our esteemed Alumni Mr.R.Ashok Kumar, Engineer Trainee, M/s Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd, Chennai addressed the students. He shared his expertise in the field of Engineering design Industries. He discussed importance of Industrial Design in selection of various design parameters. Students were more interactive during the session.
  • The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized Alumni Guest lecture on 28-11-2018 in the topic “Opportunities in Armed force for Engineers” for the interested students to join in Armed Force. Our esteemed Alumni Mr.G.Santhosh Kumar, Sub Leiutenant, Hamla Mumbai addressed the students. He shared his expertise in the interview process and also said that How they have to prepare themselves in technical areas? and How to train for physical fitness? . Students were more interactive during the session.
  • The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized Alumni Guest lecture on 09.01.2019 in the topic “Tips and Tricks for Preparing Gate Exams” for the final year students. Our Alumni Mr.J.Hariharan, M.E. Manufacturing Engineering, Amirta Institute of Technology, Coimbatore addressed the students on preaparation strategy for GATE. He said hoe the weightage of marks will be distributed and the areas they have to concentrate on core papers. Students were more interactive during the session.
