Admission Process

The candidates for UG Programs are admitted based on the procedure laid down by Department of Technical Education (DoTE) and Anna University. Students for UG Programs are admitted under two categories.
1. Government Quota
2. Management Quota

Government Quota

Candidates for UG Programs under government quota are admitted based on Online single window counseling procedure as announced by DoTE and Anna University. Steps involved in the single window counseling procedure are given below as a quick reference guideline. Students and parents are advised to kindly follow the detailed instructions given in the respective websites.


Management Quota

Management Quota Candidates for UG Program under management quota are admitted directly by SNS College of Engineering. Candidates should satisfy all the eligibility criteria prescribed by DoTE / Anna University.

Hr. Sec / Intermediate Vocational or Equivalent

1 OC Maths or Physics or Chemistry & Vocational Subjects put together – 45%
2 BC Maths or Physics or Chemistry & Vocational Subjects put together – 40%
3 MBC Maths or Physics or Chemistry & Vocational Subjects put together – 40%
4 SC/ST Maths or Physics or Chemistry & Vocational Subjects put together – 40%

Eligibility II year B.E. / B.Tech courses (Lateral Entry)

1 OC Pre-Final & Final Semester / Year average – 55%
2 BC Pre-Final & Final Semester / Year average – 50%
3 MBC Pre-Final & Final Semester / Year average – 45%
4 SC/ST Pre-Final & Final Semester / Year average – 45%
For Sandwich Diploma candidates, the final semester marks will be considered.

Note: Candidates from other States will be considered as O.C. irrespective of their community while considering the minimum marks for admission.
