Internal Smart India Hackathon 2024

The Internal Smart India Hackathon 2024 was conducted on  September 5th, 2024, across various locations at SNSCE. The jury panel comprised Mr. Kheshore JR (SE, TCS), Mr. Alwin D (SE, TCS), and Mr. Harish (CAD, Opt Technology). Following the evaluations, 30 teams out of 87 projects were shortlisted for their exceptional and innovative contributions.

We were honored to host Dr. Arnas Majumder and Dr. Santhosh Paramasivam from the University of Cagliari, Italy. Their session was a fantastic opportunity for our faculty members to gain valuable insights into funded projects and explore potential funding opportunities. Both had shared their experiences and knowledge, providing guidance on navigating the world of research funding and project management.

Orientation program

To raise awareness among students about government competitive exams, “an orientation program was held at SNSCE in association with Shankar IAS Academy for both technical institutions. During the program, Ms. Neha, who achieved a 175th rank in her first attempt at the Civil Services Exam 2023, shared her motivational experience. Additionally, Mr. Ramesh Adithya, Head Business Coordinator at Chennai Shankar IAS Academy, and Mr. Arun, Head Coordinator at Shankar IAS Academy, Coimbatore, provided insights into job opportunities in the government sector. The event was attended by 300 students, who found it beneficial.

We are elated to share that our proud alumni, Mr.S.Saravanakumar of batch 2008 – 2012 from EEE – SNSCE, cleared his Group -1 TNPSC examinations and got posted as DSP. He had received the award from Shankar Jiwal, as the Director-General of Police/Head of Police Force, Tamil Nadu and P.Amudha, Former Home Secretary.

Teacher’s Award Ceremony 2024

The School Teacher’s Award Ceremony 2024, hosted by the SNS Group of institutions on May 23rd, was a spectacular affair honoring the dedication and excellence of educators. 100 outstanding teachers across seven distinct categories, including the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award and the coveted Best Teacher of the Year accolade were given.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. Dr. E. Balagurusamy, Academic Advisor to the Governor of Jharkhand and Former VC of Anna University, Chennai, who delivered an inspiring chief guest address and personally bestowed the awards upon the deserving winners. Dr. S.N. Subramanian, Chairman of SNS Institutions, adorned the occasion as the presiding authority.
