The Department of Information Technology was established in the year 2007, with state-of-the-art facilities for various laboratories, a well-equipped seminar hall, Wi-Fi enabled SMART classrooms to support e-Learning, and a departmental library etc.,

The Department has well equipped laboratories with required software installed, with internet facility and boasts robust Wi-Fi connectivity. The Department Library of Information Technology is to support Teaching & Learning and Research activities for students and staff. The Department holds 8 UG laboratories and 1 Research laboratory.

Added to this advanced hardware facilities, operating systems and software like Fedora 13, Ubuntu, Windows 2003 Server, Windows XP, Oracle 9i, IIS, SQL Server, Java, C, C++, Visual.net, Office 2007, Android Studio, Star UML, WEKA Tool, GNU PG, Open Nebulla, Net Stumbler, Snort, Winpcap, Globus Tool kit and Honey Bot are provided to the students through a switched network, that matches the best in this part of the state.
