Department of Civil Engineering has signed a MoU with Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia which opened up an opportunity for our students and faculty to work in a collaborative research project on "Antimicrobial concreting" for 10 days at their university.

In continuation of MoU with Universiti Teknologi MARA, our students and faculty worked in a collaborative research project with them on "Antimicrobial concreting" for 10 days from 10/1/2020 to 19/1/2020 at their university.

  • A CEO Talk on "Latest Civil Engineering Software Applications and NDT Technique" by Mr.B.Lawrence from Aplus, Coimbatore on 30th Aug, 2019.Around 120 members from the student community benefitted from the session.
  • A CEO Talk on "Green Entrepreneurship and innovation in the Construction Sector" by Mr.Pradeep kumar from Valienz design, Coimbatore on 13th March, 2019.Around 56 members from the student community benefitted from the session.
  • International Webinar on "Journal Artcile Preparation presented by Mr.M.Karthick Srinivas, Research Associate from University of Malaya, Malaysia on 30th April,2020.Around 30 members from the student community benefitted from the session
  • International Webinar on "Gearing up for the Future Construction Industry presented by Ar.Deepa Mathai, Principal Architect and Partner from Arkind, India and UAE on 15th May,2020.Around 40 members from the student community benefitted from the session.

  • International Webinar on "Construction Sequence of underground MRT Station presented by Er. K. N. Senthilnathan, Planning Consultant Manager from John Holland Construction Company, Singapore on 30th May,2020. Around 27 members from the student community benefitted from the session.
  • International Webinar on "Scope for historical Construction materials in developing green building Technology presented by Er.Prakash Kandasamy,Faculty of Engineering from Shinas College of Technology, Oman on 5th June,2020. Around 27 members from the student community benefitted from the session.
  • International Webinar on "International Construction Procurement Management and Tendering presented by Dr.Sinu Philip Varghese,Project Director from NAEL Contracting L.L.C from Abu Dhabi,UAE on 9th June,2020. Around 25 members from the student community benefitted from the session.
  • International Webinar "Corrosion Behavior of Ternary Blended Reinforced Cement Concrete presented by Dr.R.Rathan Raj,Lecturer in Civil Engineering from Sultanate of Oman,Oman on 12th,June 2020. Around 20 members from the student community benefitted from the session.

  • 14 students and 1 faculty member attended Training program on “ Advanced construction techniques and testing methods” at University of Mallaya, Malaysia from 18.01.20 to 27.01.20
