CFC in Professional Practice is a unique collaboration between leading researchers and academics from all of City. This centre is undertaken interdisciplinary research, teaching and knowledge transfer in creativity and innovation. Its growing focus on enterprise and on leadership in creativity and innovation make SNS a natural new host. The centre also investigates the phenomenon of creativity and how to lead and support it in professional practice. We treat creative leadership and problem solving as critical skills that can be learned and supported with the cutting-edge frameworks, processes techniques and digital tools that are developed by the Centre and underpinned by interdisciplinary theories and models.

  • A Fund of Rs. 15,000 sanctioned by TNSCST for organizing a Seminar on "Structural health monitoring for commercial and residential buildings" at SNSCE.
  • A Fund of Rs. 40,000 sanctioned by DST - NIMAT for organizing a Workshop on "Green Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the construction sector" at SNSCE
  • A grant of Rs. 7,500 was sanctioned by TNSCST for the project titled "Gypsum based paver blocks with zero percentage of cement and sand".
  • A Fund of Rs.10 ,000 was sanctioned by IEI for organizing a Seminar on "Advanced techniques in green building practices for smart city" at SNSCE
  • A grant of Rs.3,05,500 was sanctioned by TNSCST for the project titled "Investigate the efficacy of extraction of high purity silica from rice husk ash nano particles".


  • A Seed money of Rs.1,00 ,000 sanctioned by SNS Institution for the project titled "Eco friendly low cost paver blocks using rice husk ash and plastic waste".
  • A Seed money of Rs.50 ,000 was sanctioned by SNS Institution for the project titled "Gypsum fibre reinforced bricks".
  • A Seed money of Rs.1,00 ,000 was sanctioned by SNS Institution for the project titled "Eco friendly low cost paver blocks using rice husk ash and plastic waste".
  • A Seed money of Rs.15,000 was sanctioned by SNS Institution for the project titled "Reuse of Demolished Concrete For the Construction of VillageRoads"


  • N.Shanmugasundaram AP/Civil, worked for a consultancy project on ""Characteristic Compressive Strength of Concrete Specimen and Gradation of Fine Aggregate"" during the month of February and March,2020 for Metro Structures, CoimbatoreAs a part of consultancy, they received Rs. 3000 for testing the specimen."
  • N.Shanmugasundaram AP/Civil, worked for a consultancy project on ""Characteristic Compressive Strength of Concrete Specimen during the month of October 2019 for Athivinayagar Wires(p) Ltd,Coimbatore .As a part of consultancy, they received Rs. 2500 for testing the specimen.

  • K.Aravindaraj, E.Gnanasekar, P.M.Gokulnath, Jagadesh, R.Akshay and S.Blessy from III Civil collaborated together and developed a prototype for "RECYCLE RESTAURANT" with the guidance of Prof.Ms. D.Geetha and Prof.Ms.R.Abinaya rajakumari , SNSCE during the time period from 01.12.2018 to 10.01.2018.
  • K.Aravindaraj, E.Gnanasekar, P.M.Gokulnath, Jagadesh, R.Akshay and S.Blessy from III Civil collaborated together and developed a prototype for "FURNITURE FOR GARDEN RESTAURANT" with the guidance of Prof.Ms. D.Geetha and Prof.Ms.R.Abinaya rajakumari , SNSCE during the time period from 01.12.2018 to 10.01.2018.
  • K.Aravindaraj, E.Gnanasekar, P.M.Gokulnath, R.Indrajith from IV Civil have collaborated together and developed a prototype for "GYPSUM FIBRE REINFORCED BRICKS" with the guidance of Prof.Ms.D.Saranyadevi , SNSCE during the time period from 15.12.2019 to 10.03.2019.
  • R.Akshay, M.Hemalakshmi, K.Logesh kumar and T.Jagadesh from IV Civil have collaborated together and developed a prototype for "GYPSUM BASED PAVER BLOCKS WITH ZERO PERCENTAGE OF CEMENT AND SAND" with the guidance of Prof.Dr.A.Velumani, SNSCE during the time period from 15.12.2019 to 10.03.2019.
  • M.Dinesh, G.V.Agashvanan and K.Jegadesh kumar from II Civil have collaborated together and developed a prototype for "COMPOSITE TILE" with the guidance of Prof.Dr.K.Mekala, SNSCE during the time period from 15.12.2019 to 10.03.2019.
  • Prof.Dr.A.Velumani and Prof.N.Shanmugasundaram from Civil Engineering have collaborated together and developed a prototype for "ECO FRIENDLY LOW COST PAVER BLOCKS USING RICE HUSK ASH AND PLASTIC WASTE" during the time period from 15.12.2019 to 10.03.2019.
  • K.S.Kishore from III Civil have developed a prototype for "EASY SANITIZER DISPENSER(FOOD OPERATED)" with the guidance of Prof. Dr.A.Velumani, SNSCE during the time period from 01.04.2020 to 30.04.2020
